Bond Solon payment issues affecting expert witnesses survey

Thank you to all of those who completed the Bond Solon payment issues affecting expert witnesses survey, which was conducted in August, in collaboration with Redwood Collections a debt recovery and credit management company. 285 expert witnesses responded to the survey.
Bond Solon have now analysed the results and compiled a report which:
• highlights serious issues for expert witnesses in receiving payment for services rendered.
• provides recommendations which experts could employ to tighten up their contractual position in order to ensure prompt payment in the future.

These findings have also been shared with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and The Law Society.
Based on these results, we will be looking to provide further useful information, tools and advice to help expert witnesses mitigate against future payment issues - details to follow in due course.
