Dr Marzio Ascione is a Consultant HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of BPS, Member of the Division of Clinical Psychology of the British Psychological Society, Member of the Division of Neuropsychology - DoN - of the British Psychological Society and Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine.
Dr Ascione has over 20 years’ experience in clinical neuropsychology and mental health within the NHS and private sector. He has worked as Clinical Psychologist and Researcher for Cambridge University Hospital, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, East London and City Mental Health Trust, West London Mental Health Trust, University of Milan, King’s College London.
Dr Ascione has over a decade of experience as an Expert Witness working with the solicitors to provide expert assessments and evidence-based reports and giving evidence in court. He has successfully completed Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) training for Criminal and Civil cases. Annually, he completes approximately 40 medico-legal reports for Criminal and Civil court proceedings.
Dr Ascione assesses and treats a wide range of psychological and neuropsychological conditions, including anxiety, depression, OCD, post-traumatic stress disorder, cognitive impairment and rehabilitation following a traumatic brain injury and other complex conditions.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Ascione held the positions of Senior Lecturer and Scientific Advisory Board Member at the School of Neuropsychology, Lightner Witmer, in Naples, Italy, where he contributed to the Postgraduate taught program for Clinical Neuropsychology – MSc.
