For over twenty five years I was a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in the NHS. I am still in private practice.

In the last fifteen years I have prepared over three thousand reports in relation to eye injuries and medical negligence. 45% of my instructions have been from solicitors acting for claimants. 45% of my instructions have been from solicitors, insurance companies and loss adjusters acting for defendants. 10% have been joint instructions.

I have been approved by the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and the UK Register of Expert Witnesses as an expert witness in my speciality.

I have attended an instruction course on report writing organised by Medical & Legal Training Services, 17 Salisbury Road, Mosley, Birmingham, B13 8JS.

I have attended a symposium by the Expert Witness Institute - "The Woolf Reforms - twelve months on".

Jan 2000 I lectured to the Manchester Medico-Legal Society on eye injuries.

May 2012. I attended the Leeds Conference on Fraud and Exaggeration in Personal Injuries Cases.

November 2023, I attended the Bond Solon Expert Witness Conference.

I have Professional Indemnity Insurance up to £1,000,000.
