Dr Sellaiah Sooriakumaran

Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Queen Mary's Hospital since 1990 with experience in the management of upper and lower limb amputees of all age groups and Clinical Director of a multisdisciplinary team covering physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, clinical psychology, social work, prosthetists, orthotists and rehabilitation engineers.

Actively engaged in research and development programmes and the author of many peer review publications and presentations, he has been involved in providing medico-legal reports since 1990, producing 75 to 100 reports annually, equally for Claimant and Defendant. In appropriate cases, assessments and reports are produced jointly with the Prosthetics & Fabrication Managers at Roehampton to give detailed specifications and costs for prosthetics.
