Michael qualified as a Fellow of the Association of Average Adjusters in 1978 and served as its Chairman in 2004/5. Michael has a very broad experience of adjusting general average and all varieties of marine insurance claims; including hull, cargo, builders’ risk and loss of earnings. He is also experienced in the handling of claims arising from offshore oil & gas exploration and development activities (including business interruption and LOPI claims) and has an extensive experience of handling risk management issues for companies involved in the marine, oil & gas, and petrochemical industries. Michael has acted as Expert Witness in relation to both marine and oil & gas insurance claims in the UK, USA and Scandinavia.
