Mr Christopher Chapman

Christopher Chapman has been involved with money markets in the City of London for over 30 years, he has a vast experience in banking. Between 1985 and 89 he was a Senior Vice President of Citicorp Investment Bank and also Managing Director, and later Chairman, of a money market bank and brokerage firm. In 1997 he was elected a Freeman of the City of London and he is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. Among his other current responsibilities he is founder and Director of Loxwood Consultants Ltd.

His work has taken him throughout the UK and also to Russia as International Director of a financial services firm, to Madagascar as international adviser to the first investment bank and to Vietnam to assist a financial services company to re-order its strategy

Mr Chapman has experience as a Lay member of the of the Upper Tribunal (Tax and Chancery Chamber) for 14 years hearing cases referred from the Financial Conduct Authority and The Pensions Regulator on matters of alleged fitness and propriety, market practice and alleged market abuse.

Mr Chapman and Loxwood Consultants Ltd specialise in pre-trial reports on financial services matters in civil and criminal proceedings. Recent work has included reports on international money transfers, money laundering and the miss-selling of investments in multi-million dollar cases. Other matters can include reports on the nature, value and liquidity of money market instruments, LIBOR, fitness and propriety for office and banking structures.

As well as running his own consultancy business since 1985, Christopher’s extra-curricular activities include the vice chairmanship of a leading college of further education.
