Flemming started his career with MDD Forensic Accountants in 1984 in the firm’s Atlanta office. He later relocated to MDD’s Los Angeles office where he was made partner in 1994. In 1995, he moved to the firm’s London office.
He has been involved in assignments in over 35 countries and has quantified damages in the banking, financial services, professional services, manufacturing, retail and wholesale, real estate, pulp and paper, oil, gas and petrochemical, power generation, mining, automotive, metals and entertainment sectors.
Flemming has worked extensively in matters involving fidelity, fraud, product liability and recall, professional negligence, business interruption, lost profits and physical damages. He also has considerable experience in the catastrophe services area, garnered while working on damage evaluations following hurricanes Gilbert and Hugo, the Los Angeles
Riots and earthquake, Typhoon Mike in the Philippines and the 1991 Gulf War (damage reparations). He headed up MDD’s CAT office in Grand Cayman after Hurricane Ivan and maintained a similar position following the Buncefield Oil Depot explosion. Flemming also spent close to a year in Thailand dealing with catastrophe losses that occurred as a
result of massive flooding.
Flemming has conducted seminars and educational programs on business interruption, loss of profits and damage assessment for members of the insurance and legal services industries.
He received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University and is a qualified accountant.
