Dr Yaron Berkowitz is a dedicated full time Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiologist, working at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, John Radcliffe, Churchill and Horton Hospitals, all under the umbrella of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. He is also a Partner at Oxford Musculoskeletal Radiology.

Having previously completed an MSK fellowship at St Paul's Hospital, University of British Columbia, Vancouver in 2018, and an MSK fellowship at the Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Oswestry, UK, in 2017. Prior to this, Dr Berkowitz completed his core radiology with MSK subspecialty training at Imperial College (London), which included St Mary's, Charing Cross and Hammersmith Hospitals.

He has expertise and experience in all areas of MSK radiology, in particular in the imaging and image guided intervention of sports injuries, rheumatological and inflammatory conditions including spondyloarthropathies, spine related disorders and trauma, bone and soft tissue tumours and bone infections. He practices a full range of MSK specialist image guided interventions including ultrasound, fluoroscopy and CT guided joint, tendon, spinal and nerve interventions, soft tissue and bone biopsies, nerve and tumour ablations, cementoplasty and vertebroplasty. His experience also extends to more shoulder, knee, hip and foot & ankle imaging, including post-arthroplasty. His particular areas of interest are in spine, bone infection and inflammatory conditions, and foot & ankle imaging.

Dr Berkowitz has published many articles in peer reviewed journals, several book chapters, and is actively involved in clinical research with Oxford University and the OUH Trust. Reviewer for Clinical Radiology, the British Journal of Radiology and Skeletal Radiology journals. As an educator, he is regularly invited to present at national and international subspecialty conferences, and is the RCR College Tutor and MSK Clinical Supervisor for radiology registrars, and an educational supervisor for Oxford University Medical School.
