Amy Francis leads the Digital Forensics practice at S-RM. She has extensive experience leading complex digital forensics investigations into corporate and white-collar crime, and other disputes across a range of industries and jurisdictions.
Amy advises executive boards and legal counsel on investigative strategy and has led high-profile corporate investigations into intellectual property theft, fraud, sexual misconduct, whistleblowing allegations and corruption. She also provides expert advisory and investigation services to HNWI and other private clients for litigation and bespoke investigations. This commonly relates to defamation and other reputation management, commercial and financial disputes, and criminal defence. Amy acts as an expert witness in civil and criminal proceedings and has specialised expertise in Windows computer forensics and mobile device forensics.
In her role as an expert witness, Amy provides both written and oral evidence in civil and criminal courts. She has served as an expert witness in high-profile matters, including a defamation case where she investigated the attribution of defamatory emails sent to the claimant's employer. Amy analysed activity across multiple devices and online accounts to ultimately produce an expert report outlining her opinions on complex device usage, anti-forensic techniques, data destruction, evidence tampering, and the impact of user interaction on activity attribution.
Since 2021, Amy has been appointed as an expert witness in the high-profile Wirecard fraud matter. She has conducted extensive analysis over the past 3 years to inform her opinion on a number of significant and complex issues on which she is due to testify in Singapore criminal court in early 2025.
Amy holds various industry-recognised GIAC certifications, including GCFE, GCIH, and GASF, and earned her BA in Physics from the University of Oxford. Before joining S-RM, Amy was a Manager in the Digital Forensics and Incident Response practice at Stroz Friedberg (now Aon Cyber Solutions).”
