Details

Gregor Ferguson started his career serving as an apprentice electrical engineer with British Rail before moving into the building services industry training as a design and co-ordination draftsman working for both consultants and contractors.  He then went on to study and attain a BEng (Hons) in Energy Engineering and has spent the past 27 years working exclusively within consultancy.  

Gregor`s career with regards to building engineering systems, contract works, systems water quality, integrity and risk evaluation have included.
• Bronze, Wandsworth – Investigation and reporting on pipework failures and installation quality issues.
• Post contract – Dispute over standard of M, E & P detailed design drawings at Stage E provided under contract.
• Major Project - Dispute over underpayment of fees on NEC4 Professional Services Contract.
• Wembley - technical investigation and proposals for solutions to closed LTHW pipework joint failures.
• Residential development - technical investigation and reporting on LTHW district heating network failure.
• Grade II listed house – Assistance with arbitration over contractual dispute re alleged compliance and installation quality issues.

Gregor has more and more often been called upon by clients to help investigate and resolve engineering issues and now divides his time equally between project work and expert witness work. Gregor is a chartered member of CIBSE and keen advocate of sustainable and environmental energy solutions and strives to exceed client expectations for the drive to net zero. Gregor has worked on projects spanning the whole sector e.g. hospitals, schools, offices, banks etc. as well as numerous high profile and award winning sustainably projects.
