Dr Diane Turner is an analytical chemist and internationally recognised expert with extensive knowledge of gas chromatography (GC, GC+GC, GCxGC), mass spectrometry (GC-MS, GC-MS/MS, GC-QTOFMS), sample preparation techniques, liquid chromatography (HPLC, LC-MS, LC-MS/MS) & inductively-couple plasma (ICP-OES, ICP-MS).
Dr Turner founded and is Director and Senior Consultant of Anthias Consulting. A Warwick University Graduate, Diane completed her Masters in analytical chemistry working on LC-MS and GC-MS. Diane started her career in environmental chemistry then in agrochemicals, later on gaining significant experience as an Applications Chemist. Diane completed her PhD at The Open University in disease diagnosis through analysing biological samples and using chemometrics.
Diane is widely published, she has developed methods for, given support and high quality training for companies in most industries around the world for more than 25 years. She is also a Visiting Fellow and Consultant at The Open University.
Given her particular skill set Dr Turner is ideally placed to assist solicitors dealing with both civil and criminal litigation nationwide with a feeing structure, for certain matters, in line with Legal Aid Board sanction guidelines for ease of instruction.

• Road Traffic Offences – driving while under the influence of alcohol / drugs, re-testing of blood / urine samples, driving whilst impaired through ingestion of drugs (illicit and prescribed), post incident drinking.
• Drugs Offences – Possession -v- supply, testing of compounds said to be classified under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, 'Legal Highs'
• Sexual Offences – Drug ingestion and testing for drugs
• Environmental Offences – Water, soil and air pollution testing
Civil
• Family Court – Child residence / contact disputes, hair/ blood analysis, drug testing
• Air Pollution and Indoor Air Quality –testing of air quality both indoors and outside including occupational health
• Clinical, Pharmaceutical and Biochemical – testing of components, packaging and systems
• Anti-doping – testing of biological samples for illegal substances or performance enhancing drugs
• Food and Fragrances – testing of foods, drinks and personal care products for quality, adulteration and safety
A fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC); elected member then President of the Analytical Science Community (previously Analytical Division) of the RSC 2016-2023; member of the RSC Analytical Methods & Prizes Committees, Member of the Community Board & Science and Innovation Leadership Forum and chair of the Analytical Sciences Prize committee 2020-23, co-chair of the RSC-CRUK workshops on Early Detection & Diagnosis and the RSC Indoor Air Quality workshop and report, editorial committee for the RSC book series Practical and Technical Guides for Laboratory-based Chemists; trustee then Chair of the Analytical Chemistry Trust Fund (ACTF) 2016-2023; member of the BEAM and Industry Advisory Boards of the Community for Analytical Measurement Science (CAMS); member of the Government Chemist Programme Expert Group (GC-PEG); and trustee of the Recycling Organisation for Research Opportunities (RORO).
