Mr Andrew Williams

Mr Andrew Williams is a Consultant in Podiatric Medicine / Surgery and a Musculoskeletal Scientist, previously employed with Liverpool Foot & Ankle Unit, Dept of Trauma & Orthopaedics, Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  This was a substantive NHS Consultant appointment from 2002 – 2022 when he retired to concentrate on his private practice and medico-legal work.

Prior to that appointment he was Head of Podiatry and Podiatric Surgery at the Countess of Chester Hospital and research fellow in Orthopaedics and Accident Surgery at Liverpool University.

His experience includes outpatient clinics for new and existing orthopaedic patients, two elective lists per week for fluoroscopy and ultrasound guided injections, monthly day-case theatre lists and weekly joint sessions with a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist for a regional intra-compartmental pressure diagnostic clinic. Mr Williams was involved in training of junior medical and nursing staff as well as orthopaedic trainees. He has also lectured on the MCH Orth. Program and is an invited lecturer at national and international meetings. Mr Williams has a particular interest in minimally invasive procedures including percutaneous cryoablation and has lectured at the International Society of Cryosurgery conferences in Japan, Lithuania and Israel and is a board member.
