Steph is an experienced expert witness in Forensic RF, Cell Site Analysis and Digital Investigation, with current competency, training & knowledge, following over 14 years in law enforcement & the
criminal justice industry, in roles primarily relating to communications data, radio frequency survey, analysis and digital investigations.

Specialising in Cell Site Analysis and Geolocation, and compliance with FSR Code & ISO 17025
standards, having been the first Principal Analyst to lead a team to achieve UKAS accreditation in this field.

James Cairns
Managing Director of Technical Solutions Group Ltd - (March 2017-Present)
James is a Radio Frequency Technical Specialist with over 13 years’ specific experience including counter terrorism, law enforcement operations, military intelligence roles with significant experience
in signals & communications intelligence and analysis, including communications data, RF propagation surveys, coverage analysis, communications bearer and cellular base station deployments worldwide.

Specialising in RF survey equipment evaluation and validation to ISO 17025 standards. With a passion for quality and systems practice, and experience in designing and delivering processes for quality assurance, development and evaluation; James brings a valuable objective perspective having a depth of experience gained from working across the public and private sector, both in the UK and overseas.

Technical Solutions Group Limited also provide training in Courtroom & Expert Witness Awareness.
A specialised course designed for RF Technicians, Analysts, DMIs, and professionals producing Cell Site Analysis & digital evidence. Specifically tailored to suit those who may be required to attend court to provide evidence (fact or opinion) in this field, the course ensures participants are equipped to fulfil their roles compliantly, effectively, and confidently.

Key topics include an overview of the courts and the criminal justice system, the roles and responsibilities of Expert Witnesses/Professional Witnesses, techniques for evidence presentation and cross-examination, and awareness of cognitive bias. Participants will engage in knowledge acquisition, discussions, and practical exercises in a simulated courtroom setting.

The course culminates in a practical assessment on day three, with successful attendees receiving a certificate of attendance upon completion.
