Professor Paul G McGlinchey is a Consultant Cardiologist based in Northern Ireland.
He has worked exclusively in Cardiology since 1999, having completed training in Cardiology in 2006 when I took up a Consultant Cardiologist post in the Western Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland, based at Altnagelvin hospital.
Professor McGlinchey is trained in all aspects of Cardiology with particular interest and training in General Clinical Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Pacemaker implantation and Inherited Cardiac Conditions.He was the first person to perform transoesophageal echocardiography on the Tyrone County hospital site in 2008.
Professor McGlinchey has provided medico-legal reports for more than 10 years which have included expert reports for the Coroner, medical negligence cases, civil cases and one criminal case. He provides a high quality and balanced insight into medicolegal cases across the spectrum of cardiology and how it interfaces with legal issues.
He is widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals.
