Tonia Goman is an experienced Skin Camouflage Practitioner with over 20 years experience in NHS hospitals and private practice, alongside a background as a dermatology nurse. Her dermatology experience has been of valuable support to cases, though Tonia is leaving nursing. She will be a non-practicing Registered Nurse and maintaining her registration.

Specialised in skin camouflage, her expertise is enhanced by training in scar massage therapy and psychology, allowing her to provide a holistic and comprehensive approach. The use of skin camouflage can assist in building confidence and a sense of normality following the trauma of an accident.

Tonia formed Skin Camouflage Bristol in 2014, covering the South West of the UK. She provides Expert Witness services for legal reports or Court appearances. Covering a wide range of skin conditions including, scars and blemishes, when affected by accidents that have resulted in physical scarring or disfigurement.

Tonia has undertaken expert witness work since November 2021 averaging 15 reports annually. These have been Quantum personal injury reports, 100% for the Claimant. She also reports on Clinical Negligence cases. Tonia has given evidence in court and has undertaken specialist expert witness training. As a Skin camouflage Expert witness, Tonia can assess scar(s) and recommend appropriate products, suggest the replacement rate, thus allowing solicitors to calculate suitable compensation.

Tonia is a published author on skin camouflage including a series of seven journal articles on the treatment and management of psoriasis based on NICE guidelines with the Journal of Community Nursing. Expert Opinion (Peer review) requested for: ‘Are we paying attention to the psychological issues of skin disease?’ Skin Care Today, 2017, Vol 3, No1.
