Dr Fleming is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist with over 15 years’ of post-qualification experience. A Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (C.Psychol), and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Practitioner Psychologist.  

He holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Clin.Psy) from the University of Sheffield (2009) and he has completed further specialist study in clinical neuropsychology, holding a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology (PgDip Clinical Neuropsychology) from the University of Nottingham (2013) and the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) conferred by the British Psychological Society (2015). Dr Fleming appears on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN) and the Register of Applied Psychological Practice Supervisors (RAPPS), both maintained by the British Psychological Society.  

Dr Fleming's current NHS post is Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist for Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT), a community neuropsychology service involving clinical work with acquired brain injury and a wide range of other neurological conditions, leadership, considerations of service strategy and the management and supervision of junior colleagues. Previously, Dr Fleming has worked across a range of inpatient specialist neuro-rehabilitation facilities.

From December 2015 to November 2023 Dr Fleming held a part-time academic role at the University of Hull leading the development of the neuropsychology curriculum for the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme, and regular supervision of doctoral research projects. From December 2023 onwards Dr Fleming maintains an honorary contract with the university and he continues to run neuropsychology teaching sessions with ongoing research supervision commitments.

Within the independent sector, Dr Fleming provides neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation to adults with a range of complex physical and neurological disabilities, including within the context of medico-legal matters. Dr Fleming is regularly instructed in Civil cases, including personal injury and clinical negligence cases, and in Criminal court cases, he also regularly completes mental capacity assessments related to a wide range of decisions. Dr Fleming also supervises candidates undertaking the BPS Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QICN). He has undertaken specialist expert witness training via the Expert Witness Institute (EWI) and he has obtained the Cardiff University Bond Solon Civil Expert Certificate.

Dr Fleming has authored peer-reviewed articles on acquired brain injuries.
