Andrew Dodds is an independant expert orthotist. He qualified in 1998 from the University of Strathclyde with honours in Prosthetics and Orthotics. After a brief spell working in Portsmouth he moved to the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and is now the Clinical Lead Orthotist of one of the largest orthotic departments in England. In 2012 he obtained an MSc in Applied Biomechanics. He has lectured on the design of ankle and foot orthoses at regional and national conferences.
Andrew hosts specialist multidisciplinary clinics in sports injury, foot and ankle biomechanics, adult and paediatric neurology. With expertise in a wide range of pathologies and complex conditions. Special interest in Gait analysis, having provided orthotic opinion for the Oxford Gait Laboratory and has undertaken training from the European Society for Movement Analysis in Children (ESMAC).
Andrew specializes in custom made orthotics that maximizes support yet minimize bulk and encumbrance. He has close links with Orthopaedic, Sports injury and Rheumatology Consultants; Physiotherapists and GPs. Andrew sees adults and children aged 4 years and older.

Andrew undertakes Medico-legal report writing, preparing 60-80 reports per year. He has been writing serious injury reports and negligence reports since 2012, specialising in custom orthotics, custom footwear, carbon fibre splints. He has undertaken specialist training from the Expert Witness Institute. Andrew has prepared joint statements since 2014, with a split of Claimant 80%, Defendant 10% and Joint 10%.
